Stated Meeting (Feb 2011)

With our February 2011 Stated Meeting behind us we can definitely say in hindsight that it was more than just a simple success.

42 brethren were in attendance for our February Stated Meeting including Most Worshipful Charles L. Wegener Jr., and Worshipful Dustin Verity who is the sitting Master of Ko’olau Lodge.

Brother Diamond Robinson was installed as Junior Warden of Honolulu Lodge and presented the brethren with great topics of discussion whereby we can collectively strengthen all aspects of our Lodge.

Worshipful Garry Graham presented Worshipful Jimmy Coleman with a beautiful Masonic Timepiece in token of friendship and brotherly love, and to serve as a constant reminder to him that Honolulu Lodge will always be his Home. Worshipful Coleman has given his heart and soul to the Fraternity of Freemasonry and Honolulu Lodge in particular. While he’ll be leaving Hawaii in the weeks to come we know that his move will only improve his life, his family’s, and the beautiful country to which he proudly serves.

Worshipful Dustin Verity presented Worshipful Garry Graham with a gift on behalf of Ko’olau Lodge in token of appreciation for his help with their 2011 officers installation while Most Worshipful Charles L. Wegener Jr. presented Right Worshipful Frank M. Condello II with a certificate of appreciate and honorary plaque for his generous contributions to the Cornerstone & Columns Grand Lodge Fund.

2011 Honolulu Lodge Installation

It was a beautiful night indeed as the brethren of Honolulu Lodge and an outstanding number of supportive brethren from our jurisdiction attended The 2011 Officers Installation at the Honolulu Valley Scottish Rite Cathedral. The brethren honored 2010 Past Master Jimmy Coleman for his outstanding work and dedication to Freemasonry and presented him with a beautiful Past Masters apron and 18k Gold Past Masters Jewel. Following the honoring of Past Master Jimmy Coleman and the installation of 2011 officers, incoming Worshipful Master Dexter Carrasco presented the brethren and distinguished guest with an awe inspiring and motivational speech, leaving the brethren of Honolulu Lodge and our Jurisdiction with a crystal clear vision of what is to come of Honolulu Lodge under the leadership of Worshipful Carrasco. An excerpt from WM Carrasco’s speech :

“To be strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind;

To talk success, good-will, and prosperity to every Brethren you meet;

To show your Brethren the greatness with in them;

To always find the best in every situation and let your optimism shine through;

To think only of the best, work only towards the best, and to expect only the best;

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others, as you are about your own;

To forget the mistakes of the past, and look forward to the greater achievements of the future;

To always maintain a positive attitude and to share a word of encouragement to everyone you meet;

To devote so much time to the improvement of yourself, that you have no time to criticize others;

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too confident to permit the presence of trouble;

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world-not in loud words, but in great deeds;

To live in the faith that the world is always on your side, and you are the master of your destiny.”
